Six months after starting operations of microfinance services, TC Kira’s management organized a Luncheon meeting for all personnel to celebrate the Labor day. The TC Kira aim was to mark this very significant event by sharing meal and fun time with the team made by all the staff in an atmosphere of conviviality. It was during the late morning of May 1st, 2018 at La Posh Hotel located in the center of Kigali City.

Indeed, during six months, the TC Kira team lived a time of hard working. The work was so intense and urgent that not time to rest was possible. In fact, from the beginning the team of TC Kira microfinance workers had to provide huge efforts and sacrifices to build a strong business foundation from scratch.

They had to build a solid, professional and reliable banking system in order to gain the trust, of course, of the clients and also of its partners, notably the investors and the regulator who is in fact the National Bank of Rwanda. This one had granted a provisional license and to issue the definite license, the BNR had to first observe how TC Kira is being meeting the requirements of the banking profession in order to protect the resources of its customers.

Now, since two weeks, TC Kira Tunga has received from BNR the definite full License to operate as a microfinance institution. It was therefore necessary for the management of TC Kira and its staff to enjoy while having in mind that the hardest work is now starting. It is true that banking business in Rwanda is experiencing a great competition.

During the luncheon meeting, the Managing Director focused on the necessity of continuing sacrifices and efforts as before in order to maintain constant the increase of TC Kira’s business. He urged all staff to engage in continuous innovation and work as a strong team in order to let the company going far and fast in banking.

With this event TC Kira’s staff had had occasion to relax while at the same time trying to understand various aspects of their professional responsibilities and making commitments for more performance in the future.
